Knowing yogaisn’t the same as knowing how to teach it.

You can know the poses. You can understand alignment. You can memorize a sequence. But great teaching requires something deeper: The ability to see, to understand why you're teaching what you're teaching, to communicate clearly, and to guide different bodies through an intelligent practice.

The foundations of great yoga teaching

Sound familiar?

You can practice yoga.

But could you teach the person next to you?

A 200-hour certificate doesn't automatically make someone a great teacher.

Great teaching requires learning how to observe, understand, communicate and adapt, not simply memorizing poses, cues and sequences.

“I don't know what to say.”

You understand the pose in your own body, but when you're standing in front of a room, suddenly you don't know how to explain it.

“I don't know how to sequence intelligently.”

You can put poses together, but you don't yet understand how to build a practice with intention, where each movement prepares the body for what comes next.

“I know alignment. I don't know how to read bodies.”

Real students don't look like anatomy diagrams.

Different proportions, mobility, strength, experience and limitations require you to understand the principles behind the pose, not memorize one “correct” shape.

“I don't feel ready to teach.”

You've learned information.

Maybe you've even completed another training.

But knowing information and being able to confidently guide a room are two completely different skills.

A different approach to teacher training

Don't memorize yoga.

Learn to understand it.

This is where your positioning becomes important.
I wouldn't sell Chaitanya primarily as your style of Vinyasa.
I'd sell it as the framework through which students learn to think like teachers.

Something like:
The Chaitanya Vinyasa method is rooted in yoga tradition while incorporating what we now understand about movement, strength, mobility and biomechanics.

But this training isn't about teaching you one “perfect” sequence.
It's about teaching you the principles underneath the practice, so you understand what you're teaching, why you're teaching it, and how to adapt it to the person in front of you.

PRACTICE → UNDERSTAND → OBSERVE → TEACH → REFINE

You won't leave with a collection of cues to repeat. You'll leave understanding how to build and teach a practice yourself.

What you're really learning

200 hours in.

A different teacher out.

âś“ Build intelligent sequences

Understand progression, preparation, peak movements and how to create practices that make sense rather than simply combining poses.

âś“ Understand movement

Develop a practical understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, mobility and strength that you can actually apply when teaching.

âś“ Learn to see your students

Move beyond universal alignment rules and understand how different bodies may require different approaches.

âś“ Cue with clarity

Learn how to communicate movement without overwhelming students with unnecessary information.

âś“ Teach with confidence

Practice teaching throughout the training instead of waiting until the end to discover whether you can actually teach.

âś“ Connect modern movement with yoga tradition

Study a contemporary approach to movement without stripping yoga of the philosophy, history and awareness practices that make it yoga.

More than 90 recorded lessons

Monthly Live Integration with Joa

Once a month, we come together for a 2-hour Sunday session to connect the material, explore questions and integrate what you've been learning directly with me.

Teaching Practicum

You don't become a teacher by watching someone talk about teaching. You'll actually teach.
You'll receive direct feedback and assessment, giving you the opportunity to refine your teaching before completing the training.

Why this training?

Information doesn't create teachers. Practice does.

A lot of online teacher trainings solve the problem of delivering 200 hours of information.
That's not the problem I wanted to solve.
I wanted to create an online training where you actually develop the skills required to stand in front of students and teach.
That's why the training combines:

Learn → Practice → Teach → Receive feedback → Refine

You study independently. We practice together. You apply what you've learned. You teach.
And I assess your teaching directly.

Who is this for?

Two people usually enter

a teacher training.

01 - You want to become a yoga teacher.

You've developed a meaningful practice and now want to understand yoga deeply enough to share it with others. You don't just want a certificate.
You want to feel capable of teaching when the training ends.

02 - You already teach.

You have experience, but you want more depth.
More understanding of movement.
More confidence sequencing.
More tools for working with different bodies.
And a clearer methodology behind what you teach.

Your teacher

Joa GĂłmez

I've spent more than a decade teaching yoga around the world.

Over those years, one thing became increasingly clear to me: knowing more poses doesn't necessarily make someone a better teacher.

The teachers who impacted me most understood how to observe. They understood movement. They understood why they were asking students to do something. And at the same time, they never lost the awareness and tradition at the heart of yoga.

Chaitanya grew from trying to bring those worlds together.
Tradition and contemporary movement knowledge.
Discipline and curiosity.
Structure and adaptability.

This 200HR training is where I teach you not simply how I practice, but how I think about teaching.
